Preparing the Summer Issue
Dear friends,
Thank you for your interest and support! Once again we are preparing to release a new issue.
Submissions for this summer’s issue are due in two weeks – June 8th – with the theme of “Time and Eternity.” Please consider submitting your own work, or encouraging artistic and writing friends to do so! Just as in our first two issues, we are looking for artwork, short stories, poetry and philosophical papers on this theme. More information on how to submit is available here:
http://www.thealexandrian.org/about/how-to-submit

We are also considering hosting a poetry workshop this summer, to give poets a chance to gather and discuss both the direction of Canadian poetry and their own work. If you or someone you know would be interested in attending, please contact me. The sooner we hear from attendees, the greater chance we have of working out a time and place convenient for all. Updates will be posted at:

We are looking for representatives in Canadian Catholic groups, such as Compass, Regnum Christi, Opus Dei, Knights of Columbus, etc., where we could contact authors, artists and readers who might be interested in the Alexandrian. No fundraising involved! We just want to reach people who aren’t on Facebook, too. Let me know if you are interested in telling your group about the Alexandrian.
The website has undergone some updates to make it easier to read and to search through. Please tell me if you run into any problems or have any suggestions to make. Hopefully this will be the last major renovation, and from now on we can work with what we have.
We have been a featured (and popular!) site at CanadaCatholic.org since we registered with them! If there are any other Canadian, Catholic or culturally-focused lists where you think we should be, please tell me about them. I’m not a real internet buff, and often don’t know what is out there to help us.
Thanks again for all your help. I will let you know as soon as the next issue comes out!
God bless, Catherine Nolan Editor-in-Chief, the Alexandrian
